The chances of getting a Shard in a Castle run are as follows:

| 1 - 30 | ~1 shard per 4 floors (~7.5 shards for 30 floors) |
| 31-40 | ~1 shard per 2 floors (~5 shards for 10 floors) |
Note:
- This is excluding any drops from Jackbot which will be in addition to the above
- Also excluding one-time rewards
- When a castle features multiple heroes (e.g. Ice has Fursus and Arctor), they have an equal chance of dropping
