Gem Collection Event Tips

The first thing is to realise that this is an event to incentivise players to spend money - so if you generally spend money on this game, doing so during the event will get you more bang for your buck. If you don’t spend money, the top rewards will be out of reach, but there are some options to earn gems without spending (any or more) money:

  1. Check the offer wall - I’m not sure if they count for the event (I’ve never even had offers in the offer wall) but if you have decent offers you can give it a shot.

  2. Castle Floors 31+
    If a Gem Collection event is coming up (you can check by scrolling to the end of the events list), and you haven’t yet cleared Castle floors 31 or higher—but are strong enough to do so—save those clears for during the event. These floors award gems on first-time clears.

If you’re still below floor 31, try progressing up to floor 30 before the event starts so you’re ready to take advantage of it.

  1. Farm like crazy and watch the videos from the Hidden Chests. These have a 7% chance of Gems.

  2. If you have Jackbot and/or Woofie previously unlocked and they’re strong enough to farm, both will yield a small amount of gems on runs.

Here are some great ways to earn Gems spending money:

  1. Player Level Rewards
    If you’ve unlocked any of these gem rewards, try to wait to claim them until the event. Use just enough of your Gems (if possible) to reach the highest reward tier in the event.

  2. Super Monthly Card or Monthly Card
    You may buy multiples of these for/during the event. Only do this if you have the funds and were planning on buying them anyway. See Buying Gems (with Money) for more advice about buying gems through this method.

Note: Most recommended Gem offers will not be available during this event. The best offer available is generally the Weekly Offer in the shop of 3000 gems for $5 (USD). This is an effective rate of 600 Gems/USD. Other currencies may be more expensive.
