Premium Pet Recommendations (P2W)

Premium Pet Recommendations (P2W)

For players who spend regularly on gems, Premium Pets can significantly enhance your gameplay. However, keep in mind that Premium Pets are nearly as expensive to unlock and upgrade as Premium Heroes. You’ll need to plan ahead and reserve both Gems and upgrade resources, especially Rings.

:warning: Caution: If you are spending some money on gems, but not a lot, it may be more efficient to focus on Premium Equipment or Premium Heroes first before investing in Premium Pets.

Woofie

Unlock Cost:
According to FantasTies: It would cost approximately “13,800 gems for 25 Woofie Crates. Each crate averages 2.75 shards, totaling around 69 shards. Combined with the 5 guaranteed shards, this should be enough to unlock him with average luck.”

:bulb: Bonus: Once unlocked, Woofie moves into the regular summon pool, making future upgrades easier.

  • Skill Recommendations (Requires Rings to unlock skills):
    • 1★: Chance to dig up buried Treats.
    • 2★: Guaranteed Treat offer from Merchants starting at 3750 (with Haggler Perk) -5000 coins for 5 treats as the first offer; Angels also offer a free Treat once per run.
    • 3★: Chance to find Gem stashes (usually 2–3 gems). Optionally unlock buried Coin Stashes. Combined with Jackbot, the free gems add up.
    • 4★: Chance to find Pet Medals, which are a major bottleneck for pet progression. These are needed for leveling your preferred pet as well as all pets to Level 20 and 50 for All Hero Pet Bonuses.

Boogie

Why He’s Listed Here:
Boogie is technically a F2P pet, but he is less effective until 4★, which is very difficult to achieve in a reasonable ammount of time. Purchasing crates is the best way to speed up the process.

Key Benefits at 4★:

  • Unlocks Suppressive Fire, which clears enemy bullets—especially useful in Dark Castle beginning in Room 201, where one-hits are common.

  • Effective in Titans, particularly with Titans like Otto, where you can find safe zones where you let Boogie clear almost all projectiles.

  • Unlocking Ghost Shots and Piercing at lower stars further boosts his utility.

:bulb: Tip: Leveling Lizzie to 50 gives all heroes an 8% pet attack speed boost, helping him clear bullets even faster.

Celeste

Role: Healing Support

Celeste is a powerful healing pet that becomes especially effective starting at 2★ to 3★. Her passive healing is said to allow players to play more aggressively, taking more risks without constantly relying on health drops or defensive perks.

Her fans report that Celeste improves the speed of farming runs, thanks to her reliable healing. She performs particularly well with Signal Whistle, which boosts Pet Attack Speed, allowing her to heal more frequently and consistently. Getting both of Lizzie’s All Hero Bonuses (of +8% Pet Attack Speed) will also improve healing.

Key Benefits:

  • 1–2★: Base healing is around 3.9% HP every 10 shots.
  • 3★: Unlocks Double Shot, halving the shots needed to trigger healing.
  • 4★: Combat Medic perk increases healing to around 4.5% per 10 shots.
  • Gains attack speed boosts at 2★ and 3★, improving healing consistency.

:warning: Cost Warning: Celeste and Sir Squire are currently the most expensive pets to unlock and upgrade, rivaling Premium Heroes in cost. However, since there are fewer pets in the summon pool compared to heroes, your odds of pulling useful shards are slightly better, especially if you’re lucky.

Sir Squire

Role: Perk Generation / Utility Boost
Like Celeste, Sir Squire is a Premium Pet and comes with a high cost. However, he offers unique Veteran perk synergy, making him valuable in events and challenging runs.

Key Benefits:

  • Can help you reach 2 perks at the start of each run if you are close to 35 Veteran Upgrade Points (including boosts from both Permanent Upgrades and Free Permanent Upgrade Boosts).

  • Recommended Skill Path: It is recommended to only upgrade the right side of the tree once you have Sir Squire at 4 stars.

  • 1★: Start runs with bonus battle XP.
  • 2★: Unlock Blue Banner (increased Dodge).
  • 3★: Unlock Red Banner (increased Attack Speed).
  • 4★: Both Dodge and Attack Speed become active in every room.

:bulb: Tip: If Sir Squire helps you cross the 35-point Veteran threshold, the extra starting perk can make a major difference in events and boss fights.
