Have you seen this before?
While the game is fully playable as a free-to-play (F2P) user, progress can be slow and requires patience. To progress more quickly, particularly with obtaining Premium Gear and Heroes/Pets, you may need to spend money. Making purchase is the best way to improve gameplay and reduce grind.
Whether or not it’s worth investing depends entirely on how much you enjoy the game and your personal budget and/or willingness to spend.

Aside from gems, the purchases below are commonly found as the best value:

- Battle Passes - When you consider the overall benefits (which includes increased drop rates for equipment and upgrade material in addition to the rewards unlocked using pass points), these are generally the best value for money if you are able to afford them.

Super Battle Pass ($30) - This pass usually contains a premium weapon or gear and/or hero shards. If you already have the premium item, you should choose the purple tinkering kit of that type of weapon or gear. You also will receive items, such as various types of keys, hero recruitment/rainbow hero shards, pet and hero medals, +10 energy limit, increased equipment and material drop rates, more coins and XP, increased attack damage and speed, and your bonus rewards will be gold keys. You’ll also receive 1,000 bonus season points and each guild member will receive 10 guild coins.

Battle Pass ($10) - You may earn hero shards, equipment, coins, various keys and medals. increased energy limits (+10), increased coins, attack damage, and speed. Each guild member will also earn 10 guild coins. Your bonus rewards will be metal keys.
- Purchasing bundles - If a bundle offers something that you would otherwise spend your gems on, the bundles usually offer better value than buying gems - especially when on discount or 3x.
Some great bundles include (rounded to the nearest USD):
- 66 Hero, Pet, and Equipment Crate Special Keys ($100) - Value: 112,200 Gems
- 36,000 Gems, 66 Hero and 66 Pet Crate Special Keys ($100) - Value 108,600 Gems
If you are attempting to upgrade a 5 star hero to 6, these are better deals than trying to get them from special crates.

30 Hero Rainbow Super Shards, 1,000 rainbow materials, 50 hero medals. ($100)

15 Hero Rainbow Super Shards, 500 rainbow materials, 25 hero medals ($50)
- 20,000 Gems, 10 Rainbow Hero Recruitment Shards, 20 Rainbow hero shards ($50)
- Epic ($50) or Legendary ($100) Gun and Tinkering Kits - This is less important after the change in dailies that let the player choose any weapon or gear that they have already unlocked. The Gun Kits speed up the process by advancing the rarity of weapons and are the fastest (albeit most expensive) way to advance your Premium Weapons (can also be used for Free weapons but that would be a waste); likewise the Tinkering kits advance Armour and Gear. Sometimes available at a discount (at least 20%) or on 3x.
Depending on your budget, these are my recommendations:
- If you are buying gems: Buy the Player Level Rewards offers.
- Buy the Infinite Card. If you plan on playing for a while the initial bonus and daily gems add up.
- Buy the Super Monthly Card (SMC) - Once you try it you’ll have trouble ever going back to ads! The 11000 gems, and +20% coins, player XP and equipment are also very useful in speeding up progression.
- Buy the Battle Pass or Super Battle Pass (SBP). Many players seem to decide on the SBP based on the “Exclusive” reward on offer. I often find the alternate Rainbow Hero Shards instead of unlocking a Regular hero or an Epic Gun/Tinkering Kit instead of a less-popular Premium Equipment more attractive.

- Buy Gym Pass bundles to star up Restricted/Premium Heroes
Note - You can earn gems for free, but it will take longer to unlock Premium Equipment unless you are really lucky (and the odds are stacked against you ) or are really patient. Unlocking Premium Heroes and Pets are even harder.
