The basic damage (before Gear, Bonuses, and Perks) of a shot from a weapon is your Loadout Attack multiplied by that weapon’s Attack Multiplier:

Note that the Plasma Cannon’s Blast Damage is not affected by Gear, Bonuses or Perks; whereas the Looper’s Indirect damage is.
